semtracks
Laboratory for Computer Based Meaning Research

One of the greatest challenges of the 21st century is the automatic analysis of texts. semtracks aims at developing innovative methods in the areas of text mining, document clustering and sentiment analysis that will help handling the information overload.

semtracks is the umbrella for a number of research projects focussing on technologies for the automatic analysis of texts. It is dedicated to basic research but is also developing applications in the areas of search engine technology, semantic tracking and computational philology.

In doing so, semtracks brings together leading scientists in the fields of computer science, computational linguistics, semantics, pragmatics, corpus linguistics, cultural studies and social sciences.

semtracks is coordinated by Noah Bubenhofer and Joachim Scharloth.
